I took today off so my leg could rest, and so I could start running again on Monday.
Walking, not running
September 13, 2006This morning, I had to walk not run. I’m trying to rest my calf muscle so it will get better, so I’m taking the week off from running. But, I don’t want to get out of the habit of getting outside in the morning, so I went walking instead.
Worse than I thought
September 11, 2006It turns out that my muscle problem in my calf is worse than I thought it was. I tried to run this morning, but I couldn’t because of the pain in my calf. Unfortunately, this is going to put me a little behind. I suppose that is part of the training. Learning how to deal with injuries must be a part of any training program. The crazy thing is that I did everything I was supposed to do. I guess now, the plan is to wait a little longer before I try to run again.
Injury Report
September 10, 2006My calf feels better today, so I don’t think it was a pulled muscle. Maybe I just strained it. I still have pain in it, but I was able to walk around the block this afternoon. I’m hoping to rest it tomorrow and run again on Monday.
I’m seriously considering this
September 7, 2006I would seriously like to buy this and test it out. Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPod nano. I’d love to get it for my birthday that’s coming up next month. I’d also be happy to review it for Apple, or Nike, or whomever, in case Steve Jobs is watching this “video podcast” and wants to get me a present. Wouldn’t that be nice?
